The location was marvellous and incredible, on hiking in area. Moreover, it was not far from a hill across the street from the main village, restaurants and shopping and the village gondola, restaurants and shuttles. We were moved to a double room and had a couch and an electric fireplace...

We only used the Westin Monach as an overnight stop on our drive from the Napa Valley to Las Vegas. The hotel is really well located, over looking, and literally within a stone's throw, of the beautiful little "Alpine" town of Mammoth Lakes. The Westin is a large hotel, but we found the staff to be friendly and attentive.
Just a note - although the hotel run a shuttle bus every half hour into town, it is literally just a 5 minute walk, but you have to negotiate a series of steps. Not really a negative, just something to be aware of

The mammoth one-bedroom suite was super spacious and comfy, with all the modern conveniences. The heated outdoor pool and hot tubs were a perfect way to relax after a day exploring the area. The friendly staff, and the location was ideal for walking to nearby spots for our wedding weekend.
The only downside was the overall pricing. It felt a bit steep for what we received.

The hotel is centrally located and adjacent to all major activities and services. The room was beautifully appointed with an outstanding view. The room included a microwave, two-burner cooktop, small refrigerator, and complete stock of cooking and eating utensils. The parking was convenient.
The service orientation of hotel staff varied greatly. Check in - fair. Consierege - fair. Bellman - excellent. Housekeeping - excellent. Restaurant - very poor.
